Therapy Services
I practice ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. The technique was founded by Dr Habib Davanloo From MC Gill University and is taught in standard Psychiatry Postgraduate Textbooks It has been well researched and is practiced all over the world. Literature shows that ISTDP was found effective in 84% patients in an outpatient psychiatry centre and covers most presenting problems requiring psychological assistance. Some of the problems where ISTDP was found helpful were Depression,Resistant Depression, Addictive behavious, Anxiety, Psychosomatic problems like migraines, headaches, fibromyalgiaa and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Some Eating and Sexual problems have been found to respond well to ISTDP. It was found much more effective than other standard therapies and medicines in Personality related difficulties as well as recurrent sabotaging patterns in relationhips
